Sarcoidosis It IS!!

We are home now from the doctor, and the preliminary pathology makes the doctor believe it is sarcoidosis and not cancer. We will get the final pathology Wed. or Thursday, and are fully expecting that to confirm this initial diagnosis; the doctor said he would be very surprised if it came back with anything else in addition to sarcoidosis.

We give God all the praise and glory and just want to shout our good news from the roof top. God blessed the overall day in many ways. The anesthesiologist turned out to be someone Bernie went on the Walk to Emmaus with, and he prayed with Bernie, and also told him the surgeon went to his church. We just met the surgeon 15 minutes before Bernie went into surgery, and we were pleased with him. Our pastors came by and prayed with us, and we had the opportunity to pray with and encourage some other families who were in the surgery waiting area. Please especially pray for little Hayden, a 5 year old who had her 4th surgery on her skull today (it's too complicated to try to explain, but it's a benign deal). We got to meet her & her teddy bear Sally today, and pray w/her mommy & daddy. I just called, and that surgery went well, and she's in ICU. Please pray against any infection and that her skull will accept the plug/tissue put in today, and for God's healing, peace and strength to be with that family, and that no more surgeries will be needed.

Bernie will be taking it easy over the next week and will go back to work after Christmas. He's sore & tired right now, but very thankful.
